Orlando Pirates have completed the signing winger Bheki Mabuza from Marumo Gallants, the club confirmed on Wednesday.

It marks a return to the Soweto giants for the 23-year-old Mabuza, who previously played for the club’s Diski Challenge team before leaving for M Tigers, Lerumo Lions and Gallants.

His arrival sees Daniel Msendami and Abdoulaye Mariko move in the opposite direction on season-long loans.

The Betway Premiership is never short of drama as Orlando Pirates ended Mamelodi Sundowns' eight-year reign as champions last season. Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to become genuine title contenders again this year. Keep up to date with the latest news, analysis, incredible statistics and more.

“During his time away from the club, Mabuza made encouraging progress and impressed. His performances at Gallants convinced the club that he is ready to return and take the next step in his career,” Pirates said in a statement.

Mabuza made 32 appearances for Gallants last season, scoring three goals and providing one assist.
