Live updates:
16:42 CET - As we wait for team news from Bavaria, let's take a look back at the two sides' exploits in midweek.
Both were victorious in the DFB Pokal, with Bayern playing a strong team against Magdeburg to win 6-1, whilst Dortmund had a tougher time against Werder Bremen, needing a 93rd-minute winner from Marcel Sabitzer to progress.
16:15 CET - In recent times, it has been a derby dominated by Bayern.
They have got the better of Dortmund of late, unbeaten in the last four Bundesliga matches between the two teams. A win for Dortmund would be their first against their rival in the league since March 2024. Bayern during that period have outscored Dortmund with eight goals for and six against.
16:00 CET - Welcome to Flashscore's live coverage of a Der Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga! The fierce rivals have started their seasons in terrific form, unbeaten in their opening seven games with five wins and two draws.
Bayern have been winning on and off the field, with Harry Kane clinching the Ballon d'Or on Monday in London, after a 2025/26 campaign that saw him score a staggering 73 goals in all competitions for club and country.
He joined Gerd Muller (1970), Franz Beckenbauer (1972 & 1976) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (1980 & 1981) as the only Bayern players to be crowned the best player in the world, and he will be brimming with confidence for this big game.
Meanwhile, Dortmund will be desperate to make a statement on Halloween and show that they are capable of ending Bayern's reign of terror. They have won 13 of the last 14 Bundesliga titles, with their last crown coming back in 2012.
Kick-off is at 18:30 CET, and we'll be posting the team news and live updates throughout the match right here.
