Following the injury Franculino sustained in the away match against Viborg, he has undergone minor surgery.
The operation has gone according to plan, and Franculino is now starting his rehabilitation in close collaboration with FC Midtjylland's health department, says the club on their website.
Franculino has been a prominent figure for FC Midtjylland this season and is currently leading goalscorer in the Danish Superliga with 16 goals in 17 matches and 21 goals in 30 matches across all competitions.
Franculino is expected to be ready to play again during March.
