FC Midtjylland's two goals came after long throw-ins, as Viborg-keeper Lucas Lund first produced a stunning save only to be beaten by Billing on the rebound with ten minutes to go. Then Cho Gue-sung, who recently came back from a long-term injury, made it 2-0 in added time.
Lund felt that the visitors gave too many free kicks away in promising positions allowing the home side to intensify the pressure on the Viborg goal.

"We had a miserable start to the second half, to say the least. I had some saves that kept us in the game, but obviously it wasn't enough of a wakeup call for us to tighten things up enough. We created far too little."
"Before the match we talked about not giving away set pieces, but we gave them too many. That gave them momentum, and we were bound to be punished at some stage", said Lucas Lund to TV 2 Sport.
Thanks to the win, FC Midtjylland moved into top spot in the league while Viborg are left in tenth spot. Those positions can, however, change when the rest of the matches in the Superliga are played on Sunday.
