Saints' Bresee possible torn ACL
New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Bryan Bresee is feared to have torn his ACL during practice on Wednesday. He'll undergo further testing, but it's likely that his season is over.
The former Clemson lineman had previously torn his left ACL back in 2021. He's only missed two games in his three years with the Saints after they selected him 29th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He finished this past season with 37 tackles, eight quarterback hits, five tackles for loss, three pass deflections, and 2.5 sacks in 15 games.
Cinci's Stewart carted off
Up north in Cincinnati, defensive end Shemar Stewart was carted off the field after injuring his left leg during practice on Wednesday. He returned to the field with a leg brace and crutches as he continued to watch on.
Stewart played in only eight games last season as the rookie recorded just 11 tackles and one sack.
The two-year defensive end and the Bengals butted heads after the team selected him 17th overall in last year's draft, as the Texas A&M alum wanted a fully guaranteed contract, which he eventually received, ultimately penning a $18.9 million deal.
Panthers' Brazzell tears LCL
Rookie wide receiver Chris Brazzell II partially tore his LCL during a non-contact play during Wednesday's practice and is expected to miss up to eight weeks.
"He felt weird on it, sat down. We took him in. We'll get a full evaluation and get a picture of that, and we'll give you guys more information there," said head coach Dave Canales.

Falcons QBs battling injuries
Both Michael Penix Jr. (ACL recovery) and Tua Tagovailoa (back) are both dealing with injuries as they remain out of team drills in training camp.
Penix is participating in individual drills and 7-on-7s, but still has a way to go before recovering. As for Tua, head coach Kevin Stefanski assures that it isn't anything to worry about.
“Tua is dealing with an injury right now," said Stefanski. "It's not long-term. He'll be out there sooner than later. But we'll work through that in the next couple days. Something flared up. He will be back shortly.”
