49-year-old Jakob Molgaard Christensen, who was also a board member of the handball club until his death, went out alone in a forest area at Engesvang near Ikast in central Jutland on Sunday.

Here he was supposed to break in his hunting rifle ahead of a buck hunt in May, it is said.

The police are considering the case to be a hunting accident.

For a period of over two years, Jakob Molgaard Christensen was CEO of Ikast Handball until 2019.

He leaves behind his wife and two children.
