Danish national team coach Helle Thomsen said she thought the semifinal in the Danish domestic handball league between Team Esbjerg and Ikast Handball was boring after Team Esbjerg ran away with a 16-goal win, 37-21 on Wednesday evening.

It was too boring, admitted the national coach, who, however, attributed Esbjerg's confident win to the injuries to Ikast's Stine Skogrand and Jamina Roberts.

"It ended up being too boring. It proved costly that Roberts and Skogrand went out. These are two of the players who normally carry Ikast, and it is clear that when Esbjerg field the team they have in this setting, it will be difficult for Ikast over 60 minutes", said Helle Thomsen to TV2 Sport.

The national coach referred to the fact that Stine Skogrand twisted her ankle and had to be stretchered off after just seven minutes. Later in the half, Jamina Roberts couldn't play any further when she was hit in the thigh.

Earlier in the evening, Odense Handball won 34-26 over Nykobing Falster Handball (NFH), and thus, the first two semi-finals were decided by a large margin.
