This now marks the Braves' eighth Postseason appearance in the last nine years and their third season of the past five years with at least 90 wins.
Starting pitcher Tyler Mahle earned his seventh win of the season. He lowered his season earned run average to 3.81 after giving up one run on one walk and three hits with six strikeouts.
All six of the Braves' runs were scored off home runs from Michael Harris II (26th), Ronald Acuna Jr. (19th), and Matt Olson (40th).
Atlanta (90-64) now take a five-game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies (85-69) in the National League East division with eight games left to go on their schedule.
They are within reach of reclaiming the division title after finishing fourth just last year with a 76-86 record. If they pull it off, it'll mark their 19th NL East title and their seventh in the last nine years.
