Ramirez, 34, now needs 85 more RBI to surpass Earl Averill for the most in franchise history. The home run off relief pitcher Seth Johnson marked Ramirez's 12th on the season and his 51st RBI.
He is now the 12th active player in MLB to have over 1,000 career RBI.
The seven-time All-Star and six-time Silver Slugger missed the All-Star Game this season, marking the first time since 2019 and just the fifth time in his 14-year career.
Ramirez finished top three in MVP voting for the fourth time after finishing third last season when he put up a .283/.360/.503 slashline, 30 home runs, 85 RBI, and 44 stolen bases.
Also with his home run on Friday, Ramirez needs just three more to reach 300 in his career. He needs 40 more home runs to surpass Jim Thome for most in franchise history.
