22:12 CET - 35-year-old Grigor Dimitrov has produced an inspired display against Jakub Mensik, winning a thriller against the 15th seed - who is 15 years younger than him - 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
It is a remarkable performance and result for a player who has suffered such injury heartbreak over the last 12 months, including here last year when he was leading eventual champion Jannik Sinner.
Handed a wildcard and now ranked 146th in the world, he will face Matteo Berrettini in a superb third-round match.
21:46 CET - Linda Noskova and Frances Tiafoe - who have both won grass-court titles recently - have moved into the third round after hard-fought wins.
20:47 CET - Jasmine Paolini has won two matches in a row for the first time since Indian Wells in March, after downing Viktorija Golubic 7-6(0), 6-4 to book her spot in the third round.
The 2024 runner-up will be desperate to regain some form, with Maria Sakkari up next.
20:42 CET - Former champion and second seed Elena Rybakina got a much-needed stress-free victory over Caty McNally, defeating the American 6-1, 6-2 in an hour and 10 minutes.
Rybakina hasn't been in the best form in recent weeks, and as one of the favourites to win the title and with the world number one ranking in her sight, she showed signs of improvement to reach the third round.
She is yet to hit top form though, and faces a tricky little third-round clash with Elise Mertens.
20:24 CET - Sorana Cirstea and Jiri Lehecka have both booked their spots in the third round, claiming straight-set victories over Kimberly Birrell and Alex Molcan, respectively.
19:38 CET - Roland Garros finalist Flavio Cobolli and Maria Sakkari have both progressed after sealing hard-fought wins.
19:09 CET - Former finalist Matteo Berrettini has made a statement at Wimbledon, defeating 20th seed Arthur Fils, 6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 6-3, on Centre Court!
It wasn't a vintage performance from Fils, but Berrettini's grass-court prowess and strength on serve shone, and he will face the winner of Arthur Fery or Zizou Bergs in the third round. His section of the draw has opened up a little for him if he can remain fit.
18:12 CET - Alexander Zverev and Amanda Anisimova have both moved into the Wimbledon third round, but having taken very different routes!
For the Roland Garros champion, he eased to a 6-1, 6-3, 7-6(3) victory over Valentin Royer, setting up a meeting with Marcos Giron. He has now won 40 matches this season.
Meanwhile, Anisimova was seriously struggling in her match, and her forehand was all over the place against former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin. She hit 46 unforced errors and trailed 1-3 in the final set.
Yet she dug deep, and her serve really bailed her out, hitting 20 aces to help her get over the line in a final-set tiebreak, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(10-3).
She faces a fascinating encounter with another former Australian Open champion, Madison Keys, next.
17:57 CET - Roland Garros semi-finalist Marta Kostyuk was involved in a real tussle with Anna Blinkova, but eventually found a way past her opponent, 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-3 in two hours and 35 minutes.
It was a hugely erratic performance from Kostyuk, who hasn't played on grass ahead of Wimbledon due to an ankle injury. She hit 47 winners but a staggering 59 unforced errors. However, the 12th seed is likely to improve as she gets used to the surface.
16:30 CET - In a battle between two of the WTA's rising stars, Filipino Alexandra Eala has come from a set down to beat Australian Maya Joint after dominating the second and third sets.
Joint came out of the blocks flying with confidence after a memorable victory against the legendary Serena Williams in the first round, but 26th seed Eala showed her quality and higher level on grass to turn the screw and ease into the next round, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.
15:47 CET - After a complicated and emotional first-round match, it has been far more plain sailing for defending champion Iga Swiatek. The Pole has seen off former world number one Karolina Pliskova, 6-1, 6-3, in an hour and 10 minutes.
Swiatek could face Alexandra Eala next, who is currently leading Serena Williams' conqueror, Maya Joint.
15:45 CET - Rafa Jodar and Jan-Lennard Struff have both returned from their matches being suspended last night to get over the line in five-set thrillers, beating Pablo Carreno-Busta and 28th seed Brandon Nakashima, respectively.
15:36 CET - Former Australian Open champion Madison Keys has defeated home hope Katie Swan, easing to a comfortable 6-1, 6-4 win over the Brit.
It wasn't the highest quality match, with both players making more unforced errors than winners. However, Keys was too strong, and faces a mouthwatering potential third-rounder with last year's finalist, Amanda Anisimova.
14:25 CET - 15th seed Diana Shnaider has been dumped out of Wimbledon, falling at the hands of fellow Russian Liudmila Samsonova, 4-6, 6-4, 2-6.
Samsonova reached the quarter-finals last year, and her flat ball-striking certainly suits the grass.
14:16 CET - Taylor Fritz has marched into the third round with very little issue, claiming a 6-2, 6-2, 7-5 victory over fellow American Patrick Kypson.
The sixth seed is many people's favourite to get to the final on his half of the draw, and with 19 aces and 34 winners, he displayed his grass-court prowess.
13:59 CET - A couple more key results to bring you.
Fifth seed Alex de Minaur has cruised past Adrian Mannarino, dismantling the 38-year-old 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 to seal his spot in the third round.
Meanwhile, American 23rd seed Emma Navarro battled from a set down to overcome Oksana Selekhmeteva, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Navarro has looked in fine form on the grass this season, and could be set for a run at Wimbledon. She reached the quarter-finals at the All England Club in 2024.
13:45 CET - 21st seed and recent Nottingham champion Marie Bouzkova has seen off the challenge of 18-year-old qualifier Tyra Caterina Grant, 7-5, 6-3.
The Italian really struggled against Bouzkova, landing just 47% of first serves, hitting 11 double faults and 32 unforced errors. However, she should be extremely proud of her performance at Wimbledon this year, qualifying for a maiden Grand Slam main draw and getting her first win.
12:00 CET - Players are heading onto the outside courts with proceedings about to get underway. Remember, the action begins on No. 1 Court at 14:00 CET, and Centre Court at 14:30 CET.
09:00 CET - Good morning and welcome back to Wimbledon 2026!
In what is another frantic day of action, world number six Alex de Minaur gets proceedings underway against 38-year-old veteran Adrian Mannarino on the men's side, whilst Emma Navarro headlines the first set of matches on the women's side.
There is also the matter of the matches that started on Wednesday but weren't able to conclude due to rain interrupting play.
The standout clash comes from an all-Spanish affair between veteran Pablo Carreno-Busta and exciting future talent Rafael Jodar, with Carreno-Busta currently leading two sets to one.
The other big names in action as this Thursday progresses are reigning champion Iga Swiatek, world number three Alexander Zverev and Australian Open champion and world number two Elena Rybakina.
