A blockbuster day is in store at the Paris Masters today, with Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton just some of the big names in action. Meanwhile, the first round continues in Hong Kong, Jiujiang and Chennai.

18:13 CET - Alejandro Davidovich Fokina has seen off the challenge of home favourite Valentin Royer, clinching a hard-fought 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory to move on in Paris.

16:08 CET - Daniil Medvedev has got his Paris campaign off to a flying start, swatting aside Jaume Munar with an impressive display, 6-1, 6-3.

15:55 CET - Coming off the back of his title triumph in Basel, Joao Fonseca has defeated Denis Shapovalov for the second time in less than a week, battling from behind yet again to win 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in Paris.

14:43 CET - Corentin Moutet continues to enjoy a really strong season, moving through in Paris after defeating lucky loser Reilly Opelka, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1. The home favourite will be hoping to thrill the Parisians this week.

Alexandra Eala has also progressed in Hong Kong after her opponent, Katie Boulter, retired from the match with an injury, trailing 6-4, 2-1.

14:00 CET - Felix Auger-Aliassime and recent Tokyo champion Belinda Bencic have both claimed wins to move into the second round of Paris and Hong Kong, respectively.

12:22 CET - Sixth seed Anna Kalinskaya has moved through in Hong Kong after proving to be too strong for Kamilla Rakhimova, winning 6-4, 6-4 in just under an hour and a half.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Diallo has clinched a comfortable victory in Paris, seeing off Tallon Griekspoor 6-3, 6-4.

12:06 CET - Shanghai champion Valentin Vacherot has put in a truly excellent performance in his opening round match in Paris, proving that he was not just a one-tournament wonder as he soared to a 6-1, 6-3 win over Jiri Lehecka.

And would you believe it, he is facing cousin Arthur Rinderkneck in the second round, in a rematch of the Shanghai final!

11:15 CET - Second seed Leylah Fernandez has coasted into the Hong Kong last 16 with a comfortable 6-1, 6-4 victory over Xiyu Wang.

09:31 CET - Rising star Victoria Mboko and veteran Sorana Cirstea are the next players to progress into the last 16 in Hong Kong.

09:00 CET - Fourth seed Sofia Kenin - who was struggling with injury throughout the match - has suffered a shock defeat to qualifier Himeno Sakatsume, losing 6-2, 6-1 to fall in the opening round in Hong Kong.

Several huge names are in first-round action at the Paris Masters throughout the day, with Felix Auger-Aliassime, recent Basel champion Joao Fonseca, Daniil Medvedev, Ben Shelton, Carlos Alcaraz and Taylor Fritz all set to take to the court.

Over in Hong Kong, Sorana Cirstea, Victoria Mboko, Sofia Kenin, Leylah Fernandez, Anna Kalinskaya, Tokyo champion Belinda Bencic, and Alexandra Eala will begin their campaigns, while there are plenty of matches to look forward to in Jiujiang and Chennai, too.

Speaking of, Anna Blinkova, Alycia Parks, Viktorija Golubic and Elisabetta Cocciareto have all progressed to the last 16 in Jiujiang this morning.
