With just under a week until the start of the Australian Open, several of the world's best players will be looking to gain valuable momentum as warm-up tournaments in Adelaide, Hobart and Auckland get underway today.

15:10 CET - In today's final match at the Adelaide International, home favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis (28) has battled past Yoshihito Nishioka (29) 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in a topsy-turvy affair.

12:37 CET - In Hobart, Veronika Kudermetova (27) defeated Elisabetta Cocciaretto (23) 7-5, 6-0, while Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (25) overcame fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (36) 7-5, 6-2 in Adelaide.

11:58 CET - Paula Badosa (27) has survived a gruelling three-set contest against Peyton Stearns (23) in Adelaide, coming out on top 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-5 to move into the second round.

10:15 CET - Sixth seed Elina Avanesyan (22) is safely through in Hobart after seeing off Xiyu Wang (23) in straight sets 6-3, 7-5, while there have also been wins for McCartney Kessler (25) and Greet Minnen (27).

Meanwhile, at the ATP event in Auckland, talented American Alex Michelsen (20) recovered from a slow start to outlast Sumit Nagal (27) 6-7(8), 6-4, 6-2.

08:54 CET - Former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova (25) has made a winning start to the year after an injury-hit 2024, with the Czech battling past Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (33) 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-2 in Adelaide.

On the men's side of the tournament, Denis Shapovalov (25) is through to the next round after a relatively routine 6-3, 6-4 triumph over ninth seed Zhizhen Zhang (28).

08:28 CET - There was plenty of action overnight in Adelaide, with third seed Daria Kasatkina (27) sealing her place in the next round after a comfortable 6-2, 6-3 win over home favourite Olivia Gadecki (22).

Meanwhile, Donna Vekic (28), Leylah Fernandez (22) and Xinyu Wang (23) all fell to disappointing defeats.
