There's more Latin American action in the world of tennis today, with some big names on the WTA tour taking to the court in Brazil and Mexico including Maria Sakkari, Beatrice Haddad Maia and Sloane Stephens.

23:38 CET - Sixth seed Tatjana Maria has advanced in the first result of the night in Guadalajara - where rain continues to cause delays - with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Zeynep Sonmez, while Laura Pigossi and Ana Candiotto have advanced in Sao Paulo.

21:52 CET - It's been a good start to the evening for the seeds in Sao Paulo, with Francesca Jones now beating Lina Glushko 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Berfu Cengiz is also through thanks to a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jasmin Ortenzi.
