10:35 CET - Unlike the top seeds before her, Mirra Andreeva has avoided any upsets with a commanding 6-2, 6-0 victory against home player Maya Joint to book her place in the semi-finals at Adelaide.
That victory wraps up the quarter-finals in Adelaide, with semi-final Friday to look forward to tomorrow.
09:22 CET - Meanwhile in Auckland, all play has been suspended for the time being due to heavy rain and thunderstorms.
When play does resume, there is a fascinating clash to look out for which had already gotten underway between Jakub Mensik and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.

The British number one was stunned by home favourite and world number 204 Taylah Preston, with the Australian winning 6-2, 6-4.
