There is something in the water at Strawberry Arena in Solna, where AIK and Brommapojkarna shared 11 goals in one half three days earlier, and Sweden nearly matched that total themselves across the 90 minutes to book themselves a spot in round two, where they will take on Scotland with a place at the World Cup at stake.
Sweden took one half to better the five goals they scored in Kaunas in the first leg, as Nathalie Bjorn broke the deadlock in the 11th minute in her second game back after a long injury absence, and Stina Blackstenius made it two in two for her just five minutes later.
Smilla Holmberg added a third midway through the half, and it was five minutes again before the next goal arrived, courtesy of Hanna Lundkvist who, like Holmberg, celebrated her second international goal.
Late in the first half, last week's hat-trick scorer Felicia Schroder took her international tally to five with a brace, making it 6-0 at the break.
Sweden only slightly took their feet off the gas in the second half, as Blackstenius completed her brace before substitute Amanda Ilestedt got in on the act on the hour mark. A tough night for Meda Seskute was compounded by an own goal with just over 20 minutes to play, before Ilestedt became the third player to score a double, taking Blagult to double figures, with nine minutes still to play.
The result is still some way off Sweden's record win of 17-0 against Azerbaijan in 2010, while it's the first time the Swedes have recorded back-to-back wins since last summer's UEFA EURO.
