The 25-year-old has been a victim of his side’s dismal start to the season, scoring two goals and providing just one assist in 11 games.
Gibbs-White was dropped from the England squad despite having featured in all of Tuchel’s camps since he took over at the start of the year.
He has since revealed Tuchel gave him a call to tell him he would be left out, saying: "He (Tuchel) had a conversation with me after the Europa League game.
“He told me to never take penalties again! He's a really honest guy and the fact that he called me to tell me I wasn't in the squad, I really appreciated that.
"Like I said, all I've got to do is just focus on myself and focus on my team here and putting the performances right, to put myself in a good position to get called up. That's all I can do."
