FC Midtjylland will be handicapped by the absence of striker Mikael Uhre for the rest of the season in their two-horse race with AGF for the Danish title.

FC Midtjylland, who are five points behind AGF in the race for the Danish title, will have to do without the services of striker Mikael Uhre in the final sprint towards the end of the season.

Uhre sustained an injury before the match against Brondby on Sunday, which now sidelines the striker for the rest of the season.

"He should have started against Brøndby, but in the final training session, he was badly injured in the thigh and is out for a long time. He will not play any more this season", says FC Midtjylland coach Mike Tullberg to Viaplay.

FC Midtjylland will face league leaders AGF in the top clash on Monday. There are six rounds left in the Danish Superliga.
