Thomas Thomasberg replaces the dismissed Alexander Zorniger as head coach of OB. The Danish Superliga club confirmed this on its website on Thursday afternoon.
The contract is for three years, and Thomasberg will seek to cultivate the values OB already stands for.
"A change of head coach here does not mean a significant shift in playing style, although Thomas is now in charge of the tactics regarding how that style is expressed."

The 51-year-old Thomasberg most recently served as head coach of the Polish club Pogoń Szczecin for nine months before being dismissed in June following a disappointing ninth-place league finish.
He will lead OB's training session for the first time on Friday and make his debut as head coach in Monday's home match against SonderjyskE.
"I look forward to starting at what is, to me, a truly major Danish club with proud traditions. It is, of course, a new experience. I still know the league very well; I just need to get to know the players and the staff, and they need to get to know me, too."

The North Jutland native began last season as head coach of FC Midtjylland. He was dismissed in August to make way for Mike Tullberg, as the club's management felt the underlying data were not trending in a sufficiently positive direction.
