Brondby IF have handed out a lifetime suspension for a fan who could have killed a disabled spectator during the playoff match against FC Copenhagen when he pulled the breathing tube from the respirator of the fan in question.

In Thursday's derby between Brondby and FC Copenhagen, three fans of the home team pulled Mille Manstrup's breathing tube because she had a small sticker sitting on her wheelchair showing that she supported FCK.

On Sunday, Brondby announced that a person "who is behind the act" has been handed a lifetime ban. "As for the others involved in the incident, the club is awaiting a police investigation.

"It is a deeply shocking and undignified case, which is completely incompatible with all norms and rules, whether in a stadium or in society in general. After a thorough review of the case, it is therefore very simple. Such blunt and reckless behavior results in a ban for life from Brondby Stadium," says Communications Director Soren Hanghoj.

The three men have also been reported to the police. The lifetime ban comes as a result of the fact that FCK fan Mille Manstrup, who suffers from muscular dystrophy, was suddenly gasping for breath in the family stand at Brondby Stadium on Thursday evening.

Three Brondby fans had shortly before pulled the hose from her respirator, which could have had fatal consequences for her.

"They said that if they were short of air, they could just take mine," the 26-year-old told BT.dk shortly after the terrifying experience on Thursday evening.

FC Copenhagen won the match 3-1 after extra time to seal a ticket for the qualifying phase of the Conference League.
