Tottenham have joined the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal in tracking Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz, yet there is increasing hope at Juventus that he remains in Turin.

Spurs are in the market for new attacking options and regard Yildiz as one of the standout young talents in Europe. His current contract status, which has been at something of a stalemate in recent months, has encouraged interest from England - although clarity over his future is now expected by the end of the year.

Yildiz has enjoyed a terrific personal campaign with Juventus and continues to grow in influence.

The 20-year-old has scored nine goals in competitive matches this season and at the weekend provided the decisive assist for Juan Cabal in Juventus’ 1-0 win over Bologna.

His form has made him one of the club’s key attacking outlets while also attracting admiration from across Europe.

Despite the growing Premier League interest, Juventus remain confident that Yildiz wants to stay.

The Serie A giants are preparing a new round of talks over a contract extension, with discussions expected to progress before the January transfer window.

The club’s intention is to secure his long-term future and avoid speculation heading into the second half of the season.

Sources in Italy acknowledge that progress on a new agreement has been delayed, but insist this is due to internal restructuring rather than any breakdown in relations.

Juventus have recently appointed Luciano Spalletti as head coach and have been in the process of finalising a new sporting director.

Yildiz has been keen to stay but is seeking improved terms - with his current salary of around €1.5 million per year now viewed as below market value, given his rise in profile.

Juventus are understood to be willing to significantly elevate his wages, potentially up to €6 million per season if talks progress positively. A renewal is likely to run until 2030.

Spurs are setting their sights high as they consider significant upgrades to the squad over the next two transfer windows. Yildiz has caught their imagination and is on a shortlist that has been drawn up over the past three weeks.

Chelsea remain on standby after identifying Yildiz as a long-term target, while Arsenal and Liverpool are also among the clubs that have kept close tabs on his development.

However, insiders continue to stress that it would take a major breakdown in relations for Juventus to seriously consider a sale, with the expectation still that Yildiz will commit his future to them if things go well in the coming days and weeks.
