Antoine Semenyo’s impressive start to the season continues - and so does Manchester United’s interest in him.

Semenyo weighed in with two goals and an assist on Friday night as Bournemouth produced a comeback win against Fulham.

Semenyo scored a neat equaliser from a tight angle and later sealed the win with another well-taken goal.

Bournemouth moved wisely to secure him on a new contract in the summer, signing him up until 2030.

Sources are insisting the player does not have a release clause as part of the new deal - but the club’s resolve may be tested in 2026 as he continues to shine.

Semenyo has six goals and three assists already this season, to help push the Cherries into second place in the table ahead of Saturday’s Premier League games.

Tottenham have an interest in Semenyo hanging over from the summer window - and we understand Man United have a similar stance, even after signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.

Insiders say his style of play remains interesting to them and that some at the club believe he could even be used in wing back positions at times if he was to arrive.

United’s uncertain state of play in terms of their manager means recruitment plans remain unclear - even though a central midfielder is expected to be prioritised.

Semenyo is more likely to be an end of season target anyway as Bournemouth won’t sell him in January.

Spurs are going to continue to keep tabs on him throughout this season, ready to join any battle for his signature. We understand Bayern Munich have also had eyes on him with a view of potentially moving for him in the future.

Bournemouth will hope they can continue to satisfy the player’s drive and ambitions - as they also attempt to keep hold of Andoni Iraola, who is being linked with United as a potential successor to Ruben Amorim.

Bournemouth lost key players including Dean Huijsen, Ilya Zabarnyi, Milos Kerkez and Dango Ouattaro in the summer but have started the season very convincingly.
