The Reds beat Marseille 3-0 in their most recent European tie but enter the game on the back of a 3-2 loss to Bournemouth, which kicked them out of the top four in the Premier League.
Liverpool had won an incredible 16 straight UEFA league phase/group-stage games on their own before losing to PSV in their last European game at Anfield.
Slot happy to see Robertson stay
As Slot prepares to welcome Qarabag to Merseyside, he first spoke on Andrew Robertson, who had his move to Tottenham called off this week amid speculation.
“Robbo is part of the team tomorrow evening and has been part of this squad for so many years.
“Happy to have him, good that he's available.
“It's hard to say anything definite in this world we are in, but I expect him to stay (this month).”
On fellow defender Joe Gomez, who picked up a knock against Bournemouth at the weekend, the manager said: "No timescale, but I can confirm he's not available tomorrow.
Ibrahim Konate will also miss out for personal reasons, with his father recently passing away: "I've spoken to Ibou and we know he's having a hard time. I'm hoping to have him back soon but not for tomorrow."
'Very bad cocktail'
Liverpool are out of the top four, out of the EFL Cup and have shown no signs of improving despite their recent unbeaten run, which was filled with draws.
Slot says the noise is hard to ignore as pressure builds on him as a manager who many feel will be replaced with Xabi Alonso if results do not turn around.
“Every disappointing result will bring the noise back again. That's what you can expect when he had so many losses earlier in the season. It’s impossible to shut down the noise at a club like this if you're not competing for the league.
“In between the boxes are a very, very, very good team. The way we bring the ball out and get to the box - so many times at Bournemouth, we were in position where I wanted us to be, but bringing it from a promising position to finishing it off, we have to improve.
“In the other box, too many times they arrive and they get a chance. Complete disbalance. Very bad cocktail we are having. If you can improve in both boxes, then we can still do something very special; if we can improve in one box, it can be a better season; and if not, then there is going to be a lot of noise.”
