In the hunt for a new technical director, Dutch giants Feyenoord have reportedly set their sights on a reunion with former player and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

According to Lewis Steele from the Daily Mail, Feyenoord have yet to officially approach Liverpool for Van Bronckhorst, but the former left-back is willing to listen to offers from the club he played 249 games for and won five trophies with as a manager, including a first Eredivisie title in 18 years in 2017.

Feyenoord are searching for a new technical director after Dennis te Kloese announced his imminent departure from the Rotterdam club. CEO Te Kloese took on the role of technical director after Frank Arnesen left in 2022.

The 106-time Netherlands international joined Liverpool as an assistant to Arne Slot in 2025, replacing John Heitinga in the backroom staff after signing a two-year contract with the Merseyside giants.

Prior to his Liverpool tenure, Van Bronckhorst served as manager of Besiktas, Rangers, Guangzhou R&F, and Feyenoord, winning seven total trophies and reaching the UEFA Europa League final with Rangers in 2022.
