PSV, winners of the Europa Cup I in 1988, return to the UEFA Champions League for the third year in a row.
The Eindhoven giants survived last year's League Phase and eliminated Juventus in the knock-out round, but saw their promising campaign end in the round of 16 after eventual semi-finalists Arsenal beat PSV 7-1 in Eindhoven.
After winning their second-straight Eredivisie title following a historic collapse by rivals Ajax, PSV secured their second consecutive League Phase spot, thus becoming the 18th team to participate in both of the first two editions of the new format.
