Here's a snapshot of how your club manager felt about their respective results at the weekend.

Adelaide United 4-0 Perth Glory

Airton Andrioli (Adelaide United):

"I think it was (the most complete performance at home). Not just the result, but the way we played. All the stuff we've been talking about came together tonight - playing with belief, players having freedom to express themselves and do the things they know they can do. Very pleased with the way we started the game, managed the game and finished the game. I don't look at the table. I want to focus on performance and playing game by game. You need to focus only on your next opponent. The table will take care of itself. Our gameplan is clearly defined: we are a football team that picks the moments."

Adam Griffiths (Perth Glory):

"I didn't learn anything (about my team) tonight. It wasn't good enough. We had a very good turnout of Perth Glory fans coming across for us and that was not good enough. Missing Brian (Kaltak) makes a big difference. Andriano Lebib stepped in and didn't put a foot wrong, which is crazy when you lose 4-0. Brian is a leader in his performances, in his tackles and his blocks, and his understanding. I think after a performance like that I would be desperate to get back on the training pitch and correct what happened there. It felt like we started to chase the game and do things we otherwise wouldn't do. I don't think there was anything positive from tonight, other than Andriano."

Wellington Phoenix 0-5 Auckland FC

Giancarlo Italiano (Wellington Phoenix):

"It certainly is (the end). That performance was unacceptable. I've been here seven years, gone through all the trials and tribulations. I was fortunate that the club gave me an opportunity to showcase my talents and did significantly well in my first year. I've been really proud of the coaching staff I've had over the last couple of years. Last year was tough for the fans - losing the Auckland derby 6-1 hurt a lot - and there were a lot of issues getting the team back to scratch. To lose 5-0 at home with the season still to play for is unacceptable, so I've told the club that I've tendered my resignation. It's easier for someone else to come in with new energy and refocus the group."

Steve Corica (Auckland FC):

"Really happy with the way the boys performed. The first half was excellent. We put them to the sword early on. We're six out of six (in derbies) now which is outstanding in our first two seasons. It's credit to the players and how they committed to the derbies. They won a lot of second balls and their finishing was there today. With the amount of players we had out, I wondered (if we could win), but today showed the depth we had in the squad. We had quality players coming on like Cam Howieson, Logan Rogerson, Guillermo (May) starting which he hasn't done much of this season. We know what they can do and they were excellent tonight. The other boys watching back home will probably now be fighting for their spots back."

Sydney FC 1-0 Brisbane Roar

Ufuk Talay (Sydney FC):

"I thought we controlled the game from start to finish. That's our third game in seven days. The boys put in an immense effort on Tuesday and they gave a lot of energy today. We played against a side that was set up not to lose rather than to win. We needed to be careful to keep them pinned in and I thought the boys did well at times. We found one moment with T (Quintal) where he shoots, scores and we win the game 1-0."

Michael Valkanis (Brisbane Roar):

"I thought we would have got (a goal) especially after half-time. We knew it was going to be a tough game. Sydney FC have a lot of quality. I think we made it difficult for them to penetrate and create chances, but going forward I think we could have been more dangerous. We came out in the second half, changed our press a little bit higher, and got into the box a few times. We didn't hit the target and that was the difference in the end. I think overall it was 15 shots to 12 so not much in it when you're talking about quality. We had to make better decisions in the final third."

Melbourne City 1-3 Melbourne Victory

Aurelio Vidmar (Melbourne City):

"We definitely started poorly, very slowly. The opposition were a much better team than us tonight - simple as that. They were peppering our goal far too much and we weren't getting close to the contest for much of the game. I had my baseball bat out (when Medin Memeti missed a crucial chance). He's an 18-year-old kid, but he should have scored. He'll have many more of those moments in his career, and he'll probably score a lot more than he missed, but at that point he should be scoring. We have to still be calm and play a lot better than what we did tonight. The games are skipping past us."

Arthur Diles (Melbourne Victory):

"He (Mata) is different class. That second goal was high level and the assist was high level. A top footballer who helps us get the result we need. I'm just really happy that he scored because he kept hitting posts and crossbars, and he's given a great amount of assists, but inside I've been thinking he needs to score more goals, because he's worth that. He does his job and works extremely hard on the pitch. In the end he was one of 16-17 soldiers who fought and that's what I loved. Great finish from (Clarismario). That's his strength. He's gotta know that's his strength and do it more often. It was important that he did that to put them under pressure late in the game."

Central Coast Mariners 3-2 Western Sydney Wanderers

Warren Moon (Central Coast Mariners):

"Absolutely so proud of the group. We were positive at half-time even though it couldn't have got much worse. We were passive and poor on the ball. The positive for us is that we were still in the game. There was no need for panic at half-time and there was improvement in the second half. When we made the subs there was a momentum shift in the game. I think Wanderers will feel done by, and perhaps rightfully so, but for what we did in the last 20 (minutes) we probably deserved that. I was disappointed with the second goal (conceded) because we were on top at that point, but there was a good response from the players."

Gary van Egmond (Western Sydney Wanderers):

"It can be bad from my perspective and obviously it is. I feel for the supporters. It's a case that we're the position we're in has taken a toll on the players' mentality. I felt in the first half we were in control but we didn't put our foot completely down on the accelerator. We were winning 1-0 and were quite happy to manage that. A team with more confidence and momentum would have looked for the second. That's the difference with where we're at right now. We have to keep on believing that we're able to win games. We've remedied that (a previous inability to score goals) but now we're conceding at the other end."

Newcastle Jets 1-0 Macarthur FC

Mark Milligan (Newcastle Jets):

"They came here to stop us today and they're a very experienced side. It was never going to be easy and they definitely made it difficult. We had to find different solutions. We spoke about the late goal conceded in Perth, and as the boys have done all year, they took that lesson and they got better. Today that was very important. We were aware that once it got 1-0 up we had to stay disciplined. I thought we deserved (the win) tonight. "

Mile Sterjovski (Macarthur FC):

"Definitely (deserved something from that). I'm very proud of the boys for their effort and their performance. I felt like it was a dominant performance. I had a quick look at the stats and I think we had five big chances to zero, but what was missing was the most important stat. Credit to Mark (Milligan) and the Jets for the great football they've been playing. Sometimes when you don't perform so well like they did tonight, you're still able to get a result. Our boys stuck to the gameplan really well and we managed to get on top in the contest. On another day some of our chances would have gone in."
