Ravens finalizing trade to acquire QB Jacoby Brissett from Cardinals

*Further details on the trade are still being finalized. This article will be updated when they're announced.

Baltimore recently signed QB Austin Reed (Nov. 2nd) to the practice squad and QB Kedon Slovis (Nov. 3rd) to the official 53-man roster.

Reed previously spent training camp with the Ravens prior to the regular season, while Slovis was claimed off the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

Brissett, 33, was benched during Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys after completing just 10-of-23 passes for 119 yards and one interception. Arizona brought in backup Gardner Minshew, who rallied the team to a 33-30 overtime win to improve to 3-5 on the season.

The Cardinals signed Brissett to a one-year, $15.5 million contract ahead of the season after the vet was holding out for a new deal.

Brissett has thrown for 1,719 yards and 10 touchdowns with a 63.3% completion percentage, seven interceptions, and 19 sacks.

The deal comes after the Ravens (4-4) lost two-time MVP Lamar Jackson with a thumb injury and backup Tyler Huntley with a turf toe injury - both considered to be 'possibly' season-ending.

Third-string rookie QB Joe Fagnano will be the starter for the Ravens' Thursday night matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-2). Baltimore have lost three straight, back-to-back games, giving up at least 35 points, while scoring only 10 themselves.

The Ravens haven't put up more than 300 yards passing in a single game this season since Jackson threw for 324 yards in Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. Running back Derrick Henry hasn't eclipsed more than 60 yards on the ground during their three-game losing streak, while Zay Flowers is coming off a game where he didn't have a single reception.

"Joe Fagnano knows everything," said Flowers. "So we are pretty confident in him calling the plays and going out and making the right decisions because we've seen him operate in the preseason. We think he'll do a good job."
