The Las Vegas Raiders announced on Tuesday that the Baltimore Ravens backed out of the blockbuster trade in which they acquired superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby for a pair of first-round picks.

Las Vegas, who were set to receive the Ravens' 2026 first-round pick and 2027 first-round pick, posted the announcement on social media. According to NFL Network's insider Mike Garafolo, the reasoning was for "medical reasons."

Crosby underwent successful surgery on his meniscus in January of this year.

Crosby, 28, recorded 73 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 20 quarterback hits, 10 sacks, six pass deflections, two forced fumbles, and his first career interception in 15 games during the 2025 season.

The seven-year veteran has spent his entire career with the Raiders and has been the hot topic of trade rumors this offseason. He's owed $30 million this upcoming season and $29 million in 2027 before a potential opt-out in 2028.

Crosby has racked up 44.5 sacks in the past four seasons, even leading the NFL in tackles for loss in 2022 (22) and 2023 (23). Since 2019, he has had more quarterback pressures (360) than any other player in the NFL.

The next closest player? Reigning Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett (331).
