Denver Nuggets backup centre Jonas Valanciunas has been ruled out for at least four weeks after sustaining a right calf strain during Wednesday's matchup against the Toronto Raptors.

The Nuggets have already lost their superstar, Nikola Jokic, for at least four weeks after he hyperextended his leg, resulting in a bone bruise, in the game prior to their matchup against the Miami Heat.

Valenciunas limped off the court during the third quarter of the Nuggets' win over Toronto, but didn't return. Now, what many fans saw as the best centre duo in the NBA will now be sidelined for the next month.

The Lithuanian big man was averaging 8.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 8.5 minutes per game this season behind Jokic off the bench - all career lows.

Valanciunas is currently in the second year of his three-year, $30 million deal he originally signed with the Sacramento Kings before being traded to the Nuggets before the start of the regular season.
