Sabres 5-0 Islanders

The Sabres are now 18-3-1 over their last 22 games after handing the Islanders their very first shutout of the season after a three-goal third period.

Buffalo goaltender Alex Lyon earned his second shutout of the season, sixth of his career, with 26 saves. Teammate Jason Zucker (13) had his second multi-goal game of the year, while Tage Thompson (27) is now tied for third-most goals in the league.

The Sabres improved to 29-17-5 as they now sit in third place in the Atlantic Division, while the Islanders dropped to 27-19-5, sitting in third in the Metro Division.

Mammoth 5-2 Predators

Mikhail Sergachev had three assists for the Mammoth, while four other players had at least two points themselves as the Mammoth extended their win streak to five games.

The Preds got out to a 1-0 lead thanks to Steven Stamkos (25), but the Mammoth scored three straight. Nashville would try and start a rally with a late goal from Jonathan Marchessault (9) to cut the lead to 3-2, but Utah pulled away in the end as they improved to 27-20-4.

Nashville fell to 24-23-4.
