Canadiens 3-2 Bruins
After a scoreless third period, Caufield would score the game-winner for his 40th of the season with just 22 seconds left as the Habs improved to 37-20-10.
Pavel Zacha scored both goals (22) for the Bruins, who now hold the same record as the Detroit Red Wings (37-23-8). Both teams hold the top two spots in the Eastern Conference Wild Card.
Islanders 3-1 Maple Leafs
Schenn got things started with his first goal on the Islanders, his 13th of the season, since being acquired at the trade deadline. The Islanders would go on to hold off the Maple Leafs as they've now won their fourth in five games and seven of their last 10.
Matthew Barzal earned an assist on all of the Islanders' goals, bringing his season total up to 45 as the Islanders improved to 39-24-5.
Toronto fell to 29-28-12.
Wild 4-3 Blackhawks
After going down 3-1, the Blackhawks rallied with goals from Ryan Greene (9) and Frank Nazar (11), both assisted by Connor Bedard, who brought his season total up to 37.
But it was the Wild who proved victorious in overtime as Mats Zuccarello (13) scored the game-winner, effectively ending the Wild's four-game skid as they improved to 39-18-12.
Chicago fell to 25-30-12.
Predators 4-3 Jets
Jonathan Toews (8) scored the tying goal with 61 seconds left in regulation to give his Jets one last chance to take home the win. But after a scoreless overtime, Nashville's Juuse Saros proved to be clutch in net, leaving teammate Ryan O'Reilly to score the game-winner during the shootout.
Saros finished with 36 saves and stopped all three of Winnipeg's shots in the shootout as the Preds improved to 30-28-9 on the season.
Winnipeg fell to 28-28-11.
Blue Jackets 5-1 Hurricanes
The Blue Jackets extended their point streak to 10 games thanks to a four-point effort from Charlie Coyle, who finished with a goal (17) and three assists (38).
It's his third four-point game this season, with one coming from his only hat trick of the season and the other where he put up four assists.
Columbus improved to 35-21-11 and sit one point (81) behind the Bruins and Red Wings (82) for an Eastern Wild Card spot. Carolina dropped to 42-19-6.
Oilers 5-3 Sharks
The Sharks rallied from being down 3-1 as they tied it up heading into the third. But Edmonton took over in the final frame with goals from Zach Hyman (29) and Max Jones (2) to take home the win.
Edmonton got their first win since Leon Draisaitl was announced to be out for the rest of the regular season as they improved to 34-26-9.
San Jose slipped to 32-28-6.
