The National Hockey League's 10-game slate on November 13th was anything but dull as we saw Brad Marchand reach 1,000 career points, Matthew Schaefer tie Cale Makar for most goals by a defencemen this season, and much more!

Panthers 6-3 Capitals

After Washington's Brandon Duhaime (3) got the game started to put the Caps up 1-0, Florida's Evan Rodrigues (4) responded 28 seconds later to tie the game up heading into the second.

Cole Schwindt (2) and Sam Reinhart would score the two goals of the second to put Florida up 3-1.

Washington would cut the lead to 3-2 after Justin Sourdif (2) scored to start the third. But a bsecond goal from Reinhart (10) and Seth Jones' first on the season, assisted by Marchand for point No. 999, put Florida up 5-2.

Rasmus Sandin (2) would score a nothing goal for the Caps as Eetu Luostarinen (3) responded, assisted by Marchand for point No. 1000, en route to a win.

Florida improved to 9-7-1, Capitals fell to 8-8-1.

Stars 7-0 Canadiens

Dallas scored seven times on just 19 shots on goal with Jason Robertson (6) leading the way with two goals and an assist.

The shutout is goaltender Case DeSmith's first of the season and 13th of his career. His 24 saves is the fewest in a shutout start for DeSmith since March 7, 2023, when he had 15 saves in a shutout against the Blue Jackets.

Dallas has now won four straight as they improved to 11-4-3.

Montreal fell to 10-5-2 after dropping back-to-back games.

Kings 4-3 Leafs

Toronto blew two different leads as they fell to 8-8-2 on the season.

After going up 2-0 heading into the second period, Warren Foegele (3) and Kevin Fiala (9) tied it up for the Kings.

John Tavares (11) tried to play savior as the Leafs retook the lead before the third period. But Alex Laferriere (4) stepped up and sent the game into overtime, all tied up 3-3.

That's when Quinton Byfield (4) scored the game-winner in just 35 seconds as the Kings improved to 9-5-4. They've now won three straight.

Blue Jackets 5-4 Oilers

Despite two goals from Leon Draisaitl (12) and three assists from Evan Bouchard (12), the Oilers fell to 8-7-4 on the year.

After the Blue Jackets went up 2-0, the Oilers rallied back with two goals of their own.

But the Blue Jackets responded with three straight unanswered goals, proving to be two much despite the Oilers' second rally to cut the lead to 5-4.

Mathieu Olivier (3) scored twice for Columbus, while Adam Fantilli (5) scored in his third straight game.

Red Wings 6-3 Ducks

Alex DeBrincat (6) put up two goals and an assist as the Red Wings improved to 10-7-0 on the season. But goaltender Josh Gibson was replaced by backup Cam Talbot mid-game for an unknown reason.

Both teams exchanged goals all throughout the second period, with the Red Wings up 3-2 entering the third, where they eventually pulled ahead.

Patrick Kane recorded his 1,350th career point with an assist on DeBrincat's second goal of the game that put the Wings up 4-2.

The game ended Leo Carlsson's 11-point streak as the team fell to 11-5-1.

Senators 5-3 Bruins

David Pastrnak (11) and Mark Kastelic (4) tied things up 3-3 for the Bruins in the third period before Ottawa's Tim Stutzle (10) took the game into his own hands, scoring two goals en route to a win.

Ottawa improved to 4-0-3 in their last seven games and are now 9-5-4 on the season.

Boston fell to 11-8-0, still 8-2-0 in their last 10 games.

Flames 2-0 Sharks

In the lowest-scoring game of the night, a goal from Blake Coleman (7) and an empty-netter from Samuel Honzek (2) was all that was needed for a Calgary win.

The Sharks only managed to put up 16 shots on goal, 10 of which came in the third period alone.

It was Dustin Wolf's third career shutout and first of the season as the Flames improved to 5-12-2, still holding the league's worst record.

The Sharks fell to 8-7-3.

Avalanche 6-3 Sabres

The Sabres tied it up 3-3 with a power play goal from Tage Thompson (7) to start the third period. But the Avs would score three straight to hand the Sabres their third straight loss.

Nathan MacKinnon extended his point streak to 11 games after he recorded an assist during a Martin Necas (12) goal that put the Avs up 5-3.

Colorado improved to a Western Conference-best 11-1-5, having now won four straight.

Buffalo fell to 5-7-4.

Islanders 4-3 Golden Knights

After Emil Heineman (7) put the Isles up 1-0, rookie sensation Matthew Schaefer tied Cale Makar for the most goals by a defenceman this season with his sixth on a power play to put the Isles up 2-0.

The Knights would score three straight goals from Shea Theodore (1), Tomas Hertl (7), and Reilly Smith (2) to take the 3-2 lead.

But New York's man Mathew Barzal (5) tied it all up with just under three minutes left in regular, with an assist by Schaefer (8).

Jean-Gabriel Pageau played hero for the Isles with two minutes left in OT to improve New York to 9-6-2.

Kraken 5-3 Jets

Both teams exchanged goals one-by-one all the way to the third period where Seattle's Jordan Eberle put the Kraken up 4-3 with just over 12 minutes left in the game.

Erberle (7) would score the empty-netter for his second goal of the game to put things out of reach for Winnipeg.

Seattle improved to 8-4-5, Winnipeg fell to 10-7-0.
