Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett set the NFL single-season sack record after recording No. 23 on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Garrett sacked quarterback Joe Burrow during the fourth quarter to surpass Pittsburgh Steelers' T.J. Watt and New York Giants Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, both of whom had 22.5.

The 29-year-old recorded at least one sack in nine straight games at one point this season, with his single-game high being five against the New England Patriots on October 26th.

Garrett, a four-time All-Pro and 2023 Defensive Player of the Year, signed a massive four-year, $160 million contract extension ($40 million guaranteed) with the Browns prior to the 2025 season.

Since being drafted by the Browns with the No.  1 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Garrett has proven to be on a Hall of Fame trajectory.

He has recorded at least 10 sacks in eight of the nine years he's been in the league, putting up 7.0 in his rookie year.

Since 2021, Garrett hasn't finished a season below 14 sacks. He led the league in tackles for loss in 2024 with 22, and he's doing the same again this season with 32.

In his career, Garrett has recorded 411 tackles, 235 quarterback hits, 148 tackles for loss, 125.5 sacks, 23 forced fumbles, and 18 pass deflections, in 133 games (130 starts).

Garrett has only missed two games since 2020.
