Today's the day that the women's champion of the 2026 Madrid Open will be crowned, with Mirra Andreeva going up against Marta Kostyuk in the final.

19:45 CET - That's that for the women's side of the 2026 Madrid Open, but we still have the men's final to come.

Flashscore will be providing live coverage of the clash between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev from the same time tomorrow, so see you then!

19:35 CET - What a time this is for Kostyuk. She's on a 12-match winning streak, has moved up to a career high of 15th in the world rankings, and is a WTA 1000 champion.

With nobody able to beat her thus far in this clay-court season, she'll fancy her chances of making her mark in Rome next week too, and is certainly one to watch for the French Open.

18:47 CET - Marta Kostyuk has completed the upset to win the WTA title in Madrid! The second set remained on serve even longer than the first set before Kostuyk found the break, and the Ukrainian showed great composure to see the match out.

That is a huge moment for Kostyuk, who wins her first WTA 1000 title, and she did it in style against one of the hottest prospects on tour in Mirra Andreeva.

17:52 CET - Kostyuk takes the first set! The Ukrainian has won it 6-3 in 35 minutes to take the lead in Madrid.

Things remained on serve until the sixth game, when Andreeva faced her first break point and failed to save it, and Kostyuk then saved two on her own serve at 5-3 to wrap things up.

There's no sign of the occasion getting to her; she's lost just two points on her first serve and has won 60% of the overall points.

17:05 CET - The Madrid Open WTA final is just seconds away from starting as underdog Marta Kostyuk serves first.

This should be a fascinating encounter!

15:55 CET - Kostyuk, on the other hand, is contesting her first-ever WTA 1000 final today, making this the biggest match of her career.

She's previously played in five singles finals on the WTA tour and has won two of them, both 250 events, with all three 500-level finals ending in defeat, the most recent of which came to Aryna Sabalenka in Brisbane earlier this year.

She's won one and lost one of her clay-court finals, being defeated in Stuttgart in 2024 before triumphing in Rouen last month.

14:20 CET - Andreeva may only be 19 years of age, but a WTA 1000 final is very much familiar territory for her, and territory that she's dominated.

She reached her first two finals of the format last year and won them both, claiming the Dubai and Indian Wells titles.

Of the six finals that she's contested on the WTA tour, she's won six of them, including both that she's played on clay surfaces.

A win today would make what she's achieved as a teenager even more remarkable than it already is.

12:15 CET - It's not a final that anybody would have expected, pitting ninth seed Andreeva against 26th seed Kostyuk, but both players are very much worthy of their place in it.

Andreeva has dropped just one set on her way to the final in the Spanish capital and has won 12 of her 13 matches on clay in 2026. That run of form has seen her lift the title in Linz and make the semi-finals in Stuttgart.

The 19-year-old saw off 30th seed Hailey Baptiste to reach the final here, saving three set points in an epic tiebreak to seal a 6-4, 7-6 victory.

Kostyuk's clay-court season has been equally as impressive. She's yet to lose on the red stuff in 2026, boasting a 100% record from her 10 matches, and also one title to her name thanks to her triumph in Rouen.

In Madrid, she's seen off world number five Jessica Pegula in straight sets, and beat surprise package Anastasia Potapova in the semis.
