Dylan Holloway (23) scored his first career hat-trick in the St. Louis Blues' 4-0 shutout win over the Detroit Red Wings while the Buffalo Sabres put up seven goals in their win over the Islanders.

Holloway (13) sealed his first career hat-trick after hitting an empty netter in the third period to lead St. Louis to their 16th win of the season. Detroit only put 19 shots on goal and fell to 13-17-4 on the year.

The Sabres put up a season-high seven goals on the New York Islanders as they improved to 12-19-4 on the year following their 7-1 win. Unfortunately, they still sit at the bottom of the Atlantic division.

Goals for Buffalo were scored by Beck Malenstyn (3), Jiri Kulich (5), Jason Zucker (9), Zach Benson (5), Jack Quinn (4), Tage Thompson (17), and Jiri Kulich (6) while Kyle Palmieri (12) scored the lone goal for the Isles.

Penguins 7-3 Flyers

Sidney Crosby tied Penguins legend Mario Lemieux in career assists with 1,033 assists in the NHL in 1,308 games in the team's win over the Flyers

“Obviously, I didn't ever think I'd be close to that,” said Crosby.“I've played a lot of games. He played a lot less than I did. It's what happens when you play long enough.”

Lightning 4-0 Panthers

Lightning goalie Jonas Johansson made 36 saves to give Tampa Bay the shutout victory over the Panthers on Monday. “I feel confident, comfortable, and the team has been really solid in front of me which makes my life a whole lot easier,” said Johansson. “It was a really good team effort.”

Nikita Kucherov (15), Jake Guentzel (19), Mitchell Chaffee (7), and Brandon Hagel (16) scored the Lightning's four goals.
