Should Mem join the Berlin club, it could force ,Mathias Gidsel to move from right back to centre back – a position he has previously said he could imagine playing. This would open space for Mem on the right side.
Mem is under contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2027 but should he choose to devote his future to Fuchse, it could complete a magic back-three with Gidsel, Mem and Simon Pytlick, who will join the club in the summer of 2027 from Flensburg-Handewitt.
