Handball Bundesliga team SG Flensburg-Handewitt remain unbeaten. The former champions won the northern duel against the European League participants TSV Hannover-Burgdorf 37-29 (18-13) and, with their second successive win, moved up the table behind the still undefeated leading duo SG Magdeburg and THW Kiel.
In Flensburg's first home win of the season, Denmark's Emil Jakobsen and new signing Marko Grgic were the home side's most successful scorers with eight goals each. For the visitors, nine-goal scorer Marius Steinhauser stood out.
Jacobsen thereby reached the historic 1000-goal milestone and is now chasing Anders Eggert and Lasse Svan, who have scored 2,531 and 2,241 goals in the German Bundesliga.
Lukas Jorgensen returned to action after his injury-spell on the sidelines. Jorgensen played 13 minutes in total but didn't get on the scoreboard.
