Baas, 23, has been vocal about a possible summer transfer, with newly appointed Ajax boss Michel Sanchez unable to guarantee him a starting spot.
Prior to Ajax's Eredivisie match against Telstar on Sunday, Voetbal International's Tim van Duijn reported that FC Porto is interested in Youri Baas. Porto will know Baas well through manager Francesco Farioli, under whom Baas broke into the first team in the 2024/25 season.
Having started the last three matches, Baas is on the bench for the game this Sunday against Telstar, which Van Duijn suggested was no coincidence with Porto making their interest known.
Baas, who was on Eintracht Frankfurt's radar as well, is under contract until 2028. The left-footed defender has played 96 games for the Amsterdam club since debuting in 2022.
