The 33-year-old qualified for the Alexandra Palace showpiece in September by topping the Australian Darts Association Tour rankings.
However, Pusey will not be able to use his moniker of 'The Magnet' when he gets to London, with the PDC barring it due to its risqué nature when paired with his surname.
"I don't have any of that on my shirt," Pusey told the Tungsten Tales podcast.
"I'll have to find a new one, and maybe we'll have to put it to a poll and get something.
"It's hard because anything can be turned (laughs)… at the moment I don't have any and the chants can be colourful."
Pusey is not the first player to have received a tap on the shoulder from the PDC, who reserve the right to "prohibit offensive, vulgar or inappropriate nicknames."
England's Owen Bates was blocked from using his tag of 'The Master' ahead of the World Championship in 2023.
The World Championship begins on December 11th with the final taking place on January 3rd.
Luke Littler is the reigning champion, beating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in last year's final for his first world title.
