Sweden did enough in the early ends to register a 10-7 victory over Great Britain on Sunday, and Switzerland were sure to provide another test, having won three of their first four matches.
It was therefore little surprise that the opening exchanges were tight; Sweden blanked the opening end before skip Anna Hasselborg played a raise at the end of the second to take just one point.
Hasselborg put the pressure on with an accurate draw to the centre of the house in the third, but a well-executed take-out from the Swiss' Alina Paetz put her side ahead for the first time, 2-1.
However, Sweden hit right back with two of their own in the fourth, as a guarded stone in the centre could not be cleared by Switzerland, allowing Hasselborg to draw the hammer and put her team 3-2 ahead.
Neither side were prepared to give an inch - each took a point apiece in the following two ends, before a blank in the seventh end meant Sweden led 4-3 with the hammer going to the Swiss for the eighth, but a raise from Peltz was overswept, allowing Sweden a key steal to go 5-3 clear.
One point back for Switzerland in the ninth meant they needed a steal in the final end, and a beautiful double take-out from Hasselborg with her penultimate stone made that tough, but a perfect raise from Paetz had her side lying one with one Swedish stone left.
However, a brilliant clearing shot from Hasselborg deflected the stone away and handed Sweden the victory, 6-4.
Next up for the Swedes, they take on Canada on Tuesday before two matches on Wednesday to close out their Round Robin campaign.
