Williams' new extension includes $101 million guaranteed and $63.55 million in guaranteed money at signing. The new deal now puts Williams at $35.3 million average annual value, making him the second-highest-paid defensive tackle in the league behind Philadelphia Eagles' Jalen Carter ($38 million).
With the extension, Williams' contract totals five years, $153.15 million.
Williams, 28, was acquired by the Cowboys in a trade with the New York Jets at the 2025 deadline in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick and defensive tackle Mazi Smith.
The All-Pro defensive tackle had 21 tackles, 1.5 sacks, nine quarterback hits, three tackles for a loss, and one interception in seven games with the Cowboys last season. He finished 2025 with 53 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 12 QB hits, 10 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles between both teams.
Williams has made the Pro Bowl in four straight seasons now. He earned his only All-Pro selection in 2022 with the Jets after recording a career-high in sacks (12), quarterback hits (28), tackles for loss (12), and pass deflections (4).
The former No. 3 overall pick in the 2019 draft is gearing up for his eighth year as the Cowboys kick off their regular season on Sunday, September 13th, against the New York Giants in a primetime Sunday night game.
