Bijan Robinson goes off for 213 total yards in Falcons beatdown of Packers

He needed just two more rushing yards to set a new career high. The superstar running back had 128 total yards and one touchdown at halftime alone, finishing with 6.7 yards per carry on 29 attempts.

Bijan tied Jerry Rice, Derrick Henry, and Shaun Alexander as the only players since the 1970 merger with at least 200 scrimmage yards in three primetime games.

Teammate Drake London led all receivers with 194 yards on nine receptions as quarterback Michael Penix Jr. picked up his first win on the road since Week 2 of last season. 

He finished the night going 18-of-25 passing for 256 yards, one touchdown, and one interception for a 101.4 passer rating.

Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love finished with 312 passing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception that sealed the game on 28-of-53 passing. The Packers racked up only 17 rushing yards the entire game as they remain the worst rushing offense in football, having yet to total more than 70 in a game this season.

The Packers' defense didn't force a single three-and-out all game and gave up exactly 500 yards of total offense (498 after QB knees). It's the first time the Falcons tallied at least 500 since October 3, 2024 (550 total yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

Following a 17-yard pass and an incompletion on the first drive, Michael Penix Jr. threw an interception on the Falcons' first drive of the game. Safety Xavier McKinney recorded the 20th INT of his career and the 11th with the Packers. 

After both teams exchanged punts, the Packers got the ball back and eventually found paydirt after a nine-play, 87-yard drive. Love connected with Matthew Golden on a 45-yard streak route down the right side of the field that put the Packers in Falcons territory.

He completed his next four passes, mixed in with two runs from MarShawn Lloyd, before hitting Christian Watson for his first reception of the game and fourth touchdown of the season, placing himself atop the league alongside Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. 

Atlanta caught a break on the ensuing drive after Green Bay's Brenton Cox Jr. was called for roughing the passer on a third-and-long. It took just three more plays for the Falcons to tie it up 7-7. 

Bijan single-handedly led the Falcons down the field with a 55-yard run, a two-yard run, and his first rushing touchdown of the season on a three-yard run with 1:32 left in the first. 

At that point in the game, Robinson already tallied 90 total yards (73 rushing on seven attempts). 

Following three straight punts, including a pair of three-and-outs from the Packers, the Falcons drove down the field to take the lead for the first time in the game thanks to a 44-yard field goal from Nick Folk. 

On the ensuing drive, the Falcons committed a 34-yard pass interference penalty that put Green Bay inside their own 40. But Atlanta blocked Green Bay's first field goal attempt of the game that had head coach Matt LeFleur ready to turn as green as his team's primary color.

And the Falcons capitalized. 

They drove down the rest of the field to put up another seven on the board to take a commanding 17-7 lead at halftime, already surpassing the amount of points from their first two games combined. 

Penix found Austin Hooper for his second reception of the night, already matching the total he had in the first two games, and his first touchdown of the season. 

Green Bay would go on to finish the first half with just six first downs to the Falcons' 15, with 108 total yards (only 12 rushing).

The third quarter consisted of two major drives. One from the Packers that went for 63 yards on 10 plays that ended with a turnover on downs at the Falcons' seven. 

Then the Falcons flipped it with a 10-play drive of their own that went for 93 yards to go up a whopping 24-7, highlighted by a 31-yard run from Bijan. However, it was Brian Robinson Jr. who found the end zone for the first time this season. 

It also marked his first touchdown since November 9, 2025. 

It was more insult to injury with each passing minute in the second half. On a 3rd & 2, Penix eclipsed 200 passing yards for the night after a 68-yard play to London that took the Falcons from their own 11 to the Packers' 16. 

They eventually settled for a 31-yard field goal from Folk before the Packers finally found some life with 8:18 left to go. 

Love found Golden for a 15-yard touchdown to make it 27-14. It marks Golden's first-ever regular season touchdown of his now two-year career. 

Then, like clockwork, the Falcons had no problems driving down the field. 

Following a 40-yard pass to London, Bijan found the end zone for another touchdown. Atlanta converted a late two-point conversion attempt to make it a 35-14 game with 3:33 left to go. 

Green Bay got nothing done on their final drive after Love tossed an interception to defensive back Xavier Watts, his first of the season and the sixth of his two-year career. 

The Falcons' 35-14 win is their largest margin of victory in a regular season game since their 34-7 win over the New York Giants on December 22, 2024.
