The Danish Men's doubles pair of Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard on Sunday morning recorded the biggest win of their careers when they beat Malaysia's Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin, ranked 9th in the world, 21-16, 21-17 in an Malaysian inferno in Kuala Lumpur.

The Danish men's doubles team of Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard have been working their way up the world rankings for some time, and on Sunday, they secured their biggest triumph so far.

Despite the pressure from a very passionate Malaysian crowd in Kuala Lumpur, the Danes triumphed in the final with a 21-16, 21-17 victory over Malaysia's Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin, ranked 9th in the world.

In comparison, the 25-year-old Lundgaard and 24-year-old Vestergaard are ranked 18th in the world.

The Malaysia Masters ranks as a Super 500 tournament on the World Tour behind the Super 750 and Super 1000 tournaments.

Lundgaard and Vestergaard got off to a regular dream start and almost succeeded in silencing the entire otherwise infernal audience.

In no time at all, the Danes roared ahead to take a 7-0 lead, only for Goh and Izzuddin to recover and win six successive points, which really ignited the crowd.

The fear that it would make the untested Danes nervous proved unfounded. They managed to stay in the match, and even the hard-hitting Izzuddin could not break down a strong Danish defense.

It remained close until 15-14, after which great play gave the Danes five successive points and they sealed the set on their third set point.

Most impressively, the young Danes managed to match the speed of the game, which is otherwise a trademark of the Malaysian pair.

The Danes, however, struggled to keep their nerves under control in the second set, where they were trailing for a long time.

After being down 13-15, the two Danes recovered mentally, and the home court heroes began to struggle under the load of the enormous expectations from the Kuala Lumpur crowd.

A terrific run of six points in a row put Lundgaard and Vestergaard in front 19-15. Two Malaysian points kept the game alive, but from 19-17, the Danes closed out the match to seal the title.
