The Atlanta Falcons fired head coach Raheem Morris on Sunday following the team's 19-17 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Morris was the head coach of the Falcons for two years, leading them to back-to-back 8-9 seasons and missing the playoffs each time.

Atlanta finished the 2025 season on a four-game win streak and won five of their last seven games.

The team also fired general manager Terry Fontenot.

Morris took over for former head coach Dan Quinn after the Falcons started the 2020 season with a 0-5 record.

Atlanta would go 4-7 under Morris that season, then left to become the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams the next three years (2021-2023) before finding his way back to the Falcons as their permanent head coach.

Under Morris, the Rams' defence ranked 17th (2021), 19th (2022), and 20th (2023). The Falcons had the No. 1 defence earlier in the season, but eventually fell to 14th.

Morris has a 36-57 record since starting his head coaching career in the NFL with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2009-2011), where he finished with a 17-31 record.
