The Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and Jaxon Smith-Njigba have agreed on a 4-year extension worth $168.6 million, making the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.

The contract includes $120 million in guaranteed money for Smith-Njigba, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, 24, led the NFL in receiving yards during the 2025 NFL season with 1,793, while also scoring 10 touchdowns on 119 receptions. In the Seahawks' triumphant Super Bowl run, JSN went for 199 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in three postseason games, including 27 yards in Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots.

Smith-Njigba was awarded the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award, becoming the first Seahawk to do so since Shaun Alexander, who won the MVP and OPOY awards in 2005.

The Seattle Seahawks drafted Smith-Njigba with the 20th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. After posting 628 receiving yards in his first season, the Texas-born wideout went for 1,130 yards and made his first Pro Bowl in 2024.
