The Green Bay Packers will be without their starting quarterback Jordan Love on Saturday.

The announcement came on Friday after the Packers downgraded Love to out due to concussion protocol as well as his shoulder.

It is expected that Malik Willis will start, thoguh he did miss practice on Wednesday (illness) and was limited on Tuesday and Thursday (shoulder). Clayton Tune should be elevated to second string, having played 13 games for the Arizona Cardinals in 2023/24.

Love had to leave Green Bay's previous game last Saturday during their overtime loss to divisional rivals Chicago Bears. A helmet-to-helmet blow by Austin Bookers during the second quarter caused him to leave the game and not return.

A four-year player, Willis has won both games which he started for the Packers. Under his tutelage, the team defeats the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans in September of last year. He also played for the latter back in 2022, going 1-1 in what was his rookie year.

Across his time in the NFL, Willis has a 64.9% passing completion percentage for 1,034 yards, along with five touchdowns and three interceptions. On top of that, he has two rushing touchdowns.

Green Bay will likely not be the only team playing without their starting quarterback on Saturday night. The Ravens' starter Lamar Jackson is doubful for the clash due to a back problem. Should he not be able to go, Tyler Huntly will take the field.

The Packers qualified for the playoffs on Christmas Day after the Detroit Lions lost to the Minnesota Vikings.
