New York Yankees star outfielder Aaron Judge hit career home run No. 359 on Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers, surpassing the legendary Yogi Berra on the franchise's all-time home run list.

With the home run, Judge now places fifth in Yankees home run history. He now needs just four more to surpass the great Joe DiMaggio.

The 417-foot solo shot by Judge was his 44th on the season, coming off Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Casey Mize's split-fastball.

New York's future Hall of Famer is hitting an MLB-best .321 batting average and 1.099 OPS as he continues his run for a third MVP award.

Judge now sits in fifth place with his 44 homers behind Eugenio Suarez (45), Shohei Ohtani (48), Kyle Schwarber (49), and the other American League MVP candidate, Cal Raleigh (53).

With just 19 more games to go after Tuesday, Judge has the opportunity to hit at least 50 home runs and bat at least .300 in three of the last four seasons, making him one of the greatest hitters in modern history.

New York started their three-game series against the Tigers on Tuesday and will head to Boston for three afterwards. The Bronx Bombers (80-63) are sitting just two games behind the Toronto Blue Jays for the AL East division lead and hold the top spot in the AL Wild Card
