Chicago White Sox top pitching prospect Noah Schultz went 4.1 innings in his MLB debut on Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Schultz, 22, gave up four runs (three earned) on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts. His first strikeout came against Jonny DeLuca during a rough first inning.

Tampa Bay began to tee off on the rookie lefty in the first, with Ryan Vilade getting things started with a one-out RBI double to put them up 1-0.

The very next batter, Schultz would commit a throwing error to home plate on a bunt, allowing two runners to score.

He'd then give up another double to Ben Williamson in the fourth inning that put the Sox down 4-0.

Shultz is the No. 2 prospect in the White Sox system, the No. 1 pitcher, and the 44th-ranked prospect in all of baseball.

The six-foot-10 southpaw with a wicked slider, the complete build of the legendary Hall of Famer Randy Johnson, gave up just two runs on four hits through 14 innings (1.29 earned run average) with 19 strikeouts and just two walks in Triple-A this season.

Schultz was selected 26th overall in the 2022 MLB Draft and has tossed a stellar 2.94 ERA through four seasons in the minors with 248 strikeouts and 77 walks in 202.1 innings.
