The Colorado Avalanche signed forward Victor Olofsson to a one-year deal worth $1.575 million, according to multiple reports.

Olofsson posted 15 goals and 14 assists in 56 games for the Vegas Golden Knights this past season. His +17 +/- was the best of his career - by far.

The 30-year-old hadn't posted a positive +/- since his rookie season (+1).

Originally taken in the seventh round of the 2014 NHL Draft, Olofsson spent the first six years of his career with the Buffalo Sabres before eventually joining the Knights.

Before being called up to the NHL, Olofsson scored 30 goals and posted 33 assists with their AHL affiliate - the Rochester Americans.

He made his debut during the 2018-2019 season, recording two goals and two assists in six games. The Swede would go on to have three 20-goal seasons, two of which he also posted 20+ assists.

He hasn't played in over 60 games in a season since 2022.

After making his first Swedish National Team for the IIHF World Championship in 2021, Olofsson went on to be part of the team again in 2024, when they won the bronze medal.
