The start of a new week brings the start of four new tournaments with ATP action in Dubai and Santiago getting underway today along with WTA events in Austin and Merida.

23:15 CET - That's about all from us on the Tennis Tracker this evening but the action continues overnight in the Americas. You can follow all the matches in Santiago, Merida, Austin and Acapulco via the links, or check into the Tracker tomorrow as we round up the major results.

22:32 CET - The first main-draw match in Austin, Texas has gone the way of wild card Ajla Tomljanovic (31), who has upset seventh seed Katie Volynets (23) 7-6, 7-5 to progress to the second round.

The first seed falls already there, will this be another WTA tournament of shocks?

21:56 CET - Staying in Santiago, Laslo Djere (29) has defeated wild card Ignacio Buse (20) 6-3, 6-4 to move into the second round, where he will face fourth seed Pedro Martinez (27).

20:23 CET - Yannick Hanfmann (33) has beaten Facundo Diaz Acosta (24) 7-5, 6-3 in the first match of the ATP event in Santiago, Chile.

19:34 CET - In the last result of the day in Dubai, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (21) has overcome Zhang Zhizhen (28) 6-3, 7-6 to advance to the second round.

Our attention now turns to the Americas with tournaments starting in Santiago, Merida and Austin

17:22 CET - Fourth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas (26) has gotten back to winning ways in Dubai after downing Lorenzo Sonego (29) 7-6, 6-3 to progress to the second round. After a first-round exit in Doha last week, this was a much-needed confidence boost for the Greek.

There's just one match left in Dubai today with Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (21) taking on Zhang Zhizhen (28).

15:49 CET - Zizou Bergs (25) of Belgium, who had a good run to the semis in Marseille earlier this year, is through to the second round in Dubai after a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Tunisian wildcard Aziz Dougaz (27) in 75 minutes.

14:35 CET - Karen Khachanov (28) is the next player to make it through in Dubai with a 6-1, 6-3 win over wildcard Dan Evans (34).

Next up is the down-on-his-luck Stefanos Tsitsipas (26), who faces a stern test against Italian Lorenzo Sonego (29). The Greek world number 11 has won just three games all year, going out in the first round at Qatar last week and earlier in the season at the Australian Open.

See if he can get over the first hurdle in Dubai from 15:30 CET.

13:51 CET - Spanish veteran Roberto Bautista Agut (36) has advanced in Dubai with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 win over Fabian Marozsan (25). To fight back from a set down and win a gruelling decider that lasted for 66 minutes is something he can be proud of.

12:27 CET - It's been a great start to the week for Alexei Popyrin (25), who has dismantled wildcard Hady Habib (26) in just 67 minutes. The Australian world number 27 won their encounter 6-2, 6-4 to advance into the next round.

10:50 CET - Play in Dubai is almost upon us with Fabian Marozsan (25) starting off against Spanish veteran Roberto Bautista Agut (36). For the Spaniard, he is on a pretty poor run of form, last winning back in October before falling at the first hurdle in his next five tournaments.

He did win their last meeting though, back in January 2024.

Follow the first-round match here.

07:35 CET - Four tournaments are getting underway today and the first of them to begin is the ATP event in Dubai, where Alexei Popyrin (25) will face Hady Habib (26) at 11:00 CET. After that, Karen Khachanov (28) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (26) will begin their campaigns with clashes against Dan Evans (34) and Lorenzo Sonego (29).

Later in the day, the ball will get rolling in Austin, Merida and Santiago, and you can check out all of the schedules below:
