20:19 CET - Eighth seed Zheng Qinwen has progressed in Rome after battling through a competitive opening set to see off the challenge of Bianca Andreescu 7-5, 6-1.
Meanwhile, on the men's side of the tournament, Casper Ruud is through to a fourth-round meeting with Jaume Munar after his opponent Matteo Berrettini was forced to retire while trailing 5-7, 0-2.

17:24 CET - The next person through to the last eight in Rome is Elina Svitolina. The Ukrainian number one won her match 6-4, 6-2 against the experienced Danielle Collins.
16:39 CET - In one of the more eye-catching clashes on Monday, Coco Gauff has overcome the challenge of former US Open winner Emma Raducanu with ease, beating the Brit 6-1, 6-2 to make it into the last eight in Rome. The battle, if you can call it that, lasted just 80 minutes.
Meanwhile, 17th seed Francisco Cerundolo is through to the last 16, having seen off Sebastian Ofner in style 6-2, 6-4.
15:59 CET - Home favourite Jasmine Paolini had to withstand a rapid start from Jelena Ostapenko, and after trailing a break in the first set, the Italian managed to fight back to seal a 7-5, 6-2 win to move into the quarter-finals.
15:41 CET - Hubert Hurkacz has been enduring a very tough season, but he is into the last 16 here in Rome with a hard-fought 6-3, 1-6, 6-1 win over Marcos Giron.
15:04 CET - Czech teen Jakub Mensik has sealed his spot in the fourth round after a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6(2) triumph over Hungary's Fabian Marozsan.

13:35 CET - Tommy Paul is the latest man to progress in Rome, with the 11th seed battling through a closely-fought clash against Tomas Machac to eventually prevail 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-4.
13:08 CET - It's taken a little bit of time for our first result, but we have it as Alex De Minaur is through to the last 16 with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Bolivia's Hugo Dellien, with the Australian serving two aces and hitting 21 winners.
10:00 CET - First up, though, sees Naomi Osaka take to the court - having won eight straight on clay - where she takes on Peyton Stearns from 11:00 CET.
The Japanese former grand slam winner saw off Marie Bouzkova in the last round, and she has never taken on Stearns before, but the American is also in good form, knocking out compatriot Madison Keys for a shock win.
